No, I’m not talking grand metaphysical lessons or relational mysteries. I’m interested in hobbies, books, home improvement, musical instruments, technology, cooking, gardening, etc. What are you doing at home that you were not doing before the zombie attack?
Everyone in my family of origin knits, except me. I’m taking an online Photoshop challenge. My wife and daughter, who remain in the house with me until this is all over, both read books like the Cookie Monster eats cookies. YouTubers are doing special series. For example the channel “WoodWorking For Mere Mortals” is doing a lockdown series. https://woodworkingformeremortals.com/
It’s not that we have more time on our hands. Many of us are busier now than ever. In this environment I feel compelled to do something new for a change of brain. I probably would not have taken this Photoshop challenge without the virus because “I was too busy.” But now I’m taking it and working more hours than I did before. Go figure.
So what are you learning?

Organizing everything and reading and cooking new meals.
Sounds practical.
Painting with watercolors. The unpredictability of the outcome is strangely comforting. What started out as a bird became a mountain…and I was ok with that.
You need to talk with Alice Hart.
Hi, Dan and church family,
First, thank you so much for this blog. I enjoy reading it and look forward to it. And love the comments; it makes me feel connected to Skyland. Craig, Cameron (our college son), and I are going to do a new exercise video every day as a family. We have not been as active or sleeping as well and are hoping this will help. I’ll let you know how it goes.
A healthy response.
